A great reason to run the Fa La La Half Marathon was the fact that race images would be provided free of charge. Official race images sometimes cost a fortune – as an example if I would have ordered images from Marathon Foto for the Las Vegas Marathon it would have cost me between $40 and $90 to either get an individual image or a collection of sub-par images. While I understand that there is a cost of taking pictures, what companies like Marathon Foto do is extortion in my opinion. So, All-Out MultiSport Productions – the organizer of the Fa La La Half Marathon – provides all athletes with access to free images taken during the race (Thank you!!). Today the images were finally uploaded.
Below is a collection of images either showing myself or race related impressions. You can tell by looking at the pictures that it was extremely cold when the race took place. This run was easily one of the coldest runs I have ever done. Hopefully my next half marathon in January will have a bit warmer temperatures to offer.
As you can tell from the pictures it was a bit cold, but I have to say I had a ton of fun running this race. I had very cold hands before the start, but I was totally warmed up about one mile into the race and my clothes were wet from sweating by the time I finished the race. I was happy to have brought spare clothing so that I could change once I was back at my pickup truck. Temperatures at the start were about 3 degrees and it was not much warmer by the time I crossed the finish line.
