Updated Review: Nike Hyperwarm Dri-Fit Long Sleeve Top

In February 2014 I reviewed the NIKE Men’s Hyperwarm Dri-FIT Fitted Crew Long-Sleeve Top and this review came back to my mind today. Currently it is 14 degrees outside. It is snowing and there is wind that makes the feel temperatures even colder. I was outside running early this morning and (of course) wore my Nike Hyperwarm Sweater. I came home from my run and never felt cold. As a matter of fact I was sweating quite a bit. I still find it amazing that you can exercise outside in frigid conditions because of having the right outdoor gear and the Nike Hyperwarm Dri-Fit Long Sleeve Top definitely fits that description. A Better Way to Rehydrate

SOS Rehydrate

SOS Rehydrate

You would think summer is coming to end, but in my neck of the woods the warm weather is holding on dearly. There were a few exceptions though, but overall the second half of September and the beginning of October make it feel more like summer than fall. Last Monday was such an exception. We got hit by a rare late season hail storm and what a hail storm it was. It looked like a disaster zone once the storm had moved out. Dealing with the aftermath was no fun. My wife’s car got hit pretty bad and the insurance appraisal came out at $6,000 in hail damage. The car needs a new hood, a new roof, a new liftgate, and work on the fenders and doors, too. The roof on my house is heavily damaged as well and we are waiting for the appraiser to come out next week. Trees and bushes were damaged heavily and after cleaning up this weekend I have about 25 large bags of leafs and branches sitting outside for the garbage removal. [Read more…]

Review NIKE Men’s Hyperwarm Dri-FIT Fitted Crew Long-Sleeve Top

NIKE Men's Hyperwarm Dri-FIT Fitted Crew Long-Sleeve Top

NIKE Men’s Hyperwarm Dri-FIT Fitted Crew Long-Sleeve Top

Back in December I ran a local Half Marathon race (Fa La La Half Marathon) and it was freaking cold back then. How cold you ask? It was in the low single digits when the race started and it was still in the low single digits when I crossed the finish line. Yes, that’s how cold it was. While I have cold weather running gear, I did not have the right stuff for a 2 hours+ race that was held in those arctic-like temperatures. [Read more…]

Sycamore Canyon 100K Review

It is Sunday, February 25, 2018 and I am sitting at the kitchen table a bit tired, but in great spirits after yesterday’s race. I ran and completed my very first 100K in 14 hrs. and 53 minutes. It was a long day and there were quite a few dark spots between mile 26 and […]
